Visit the Budj Bim Cultural Landscape and join local Gunditjmara guides on an immersive two hour cultural walking tour of Tae Rak (Land Condah) in Southwest Victoria. Throughout the guided walk, discover how the native Gunditjmara people created one of Australia’s oldest and largest aquaculture systems.
Consisting of 1,700 hectares of wetlands, guides will begin the tour at the front of the lake providing an overview of the creation story and marine life that inhabit the lake. Walking along the Western Edge, see the ancient landscape and aquaculture sites that have sustained life for over 6,000 years. Cultural walks are available from Wednesday to Sunday at 10am and 2pm.
